Well, I'm at the point in my life where I think I have actually outgrown my high school friends. The thing that they now seem less cool than the people I have been around for a few short months instead of a few years, I think I'm ready to move on with my life and leave all the drama attached with that behind.
There's something that seems so unfulfilling being around the people and town I've known for years. There's something great about the people I've grown to know and love during my first year at UNCG. Also, they're a lot cooler, from different backgrounds, and I really need the companionship of people who have the best to offer, besides people in the backwoods town I've come from. A few people are still cool, but there's still a deficit of loving attention around here. Everywhere I go, I'm still treated with malice by most and I cannot get a rest from any type of taunting or bullying around.
That's why I need UNCG so much--not only for education, but for purposes of letting myself thrive in a place with virtually nonexistent predetermined standards for its population, where you meet people and know their names, and there's virtually not a time when you're not alone. It's great and exactly what I need right now.
Yup.

Working Hard or Hardly Working?
Well, I gave it thought today. Are we all working hard or hardly working at anything? If you really think about it, every action is really miniscule, barely requiring much effort to carry out, yet, on a microscopic level it requires a supreme amount of effort.
I've come to the conclusion that my job is not mentally stimulating because the work just requires that I can shout, carry food, wash dishes, and pick stuff up with my hands, such as lots and lots of tips that I get left in my section when I work. It's really great.... just not mentally stimulating.
I would, however, like to do stuff this summer besides work, but I've gotten so tired after work that I've lost the drive to do anything but sleep. I don't like sleeping when I get home because it's total shit. I'd rather do something completely fun, which I rarely get to do.
Hopefully I can hang out with Frankie and the crew some more this summer. It will be awesome if I can!
Right now, I'm hoping things will get more mentally stimulating in the next few days, or I will be really sad and withdrawn and depressed. Ha.
But, yeah, I need some high speed internets so I can resume WoW to keep me entertained and such. I'm really bored and porn and games are the only things that I can really experience here at home at this moment in time since nobody that I go to college with lives in close proximity to me. Blaaaaargh. And neither does my boo-to-be, but hopefully I can perhaps solve that problem next summer after I come back from Spain? I don't know, but I hope so!
Woo! I'm going to bed, because I've got to be up at 4:45am to get to work by 6:00am.
Gewdnight!

I Remember...
What is it with me and memories? I always think back on everything, especially things that make me feel good, and things that make me smile. It may sound dorky to you, but everything means something to me. Everything.
One thing in particular that I remember that I can't shake, even though it's been a year. This one person has been stuck in my head ever since I met him. I don't know why. He just has this air about him. I don't know how to describe it. I don't know.
From the time I walked in slightly late into my Spanish 301 class (on the third day when I finally registered for it) and saw everyone in there, to the small conversation we had before our first conversational test for that class, and then to the many times we had awkward stares in class, to the many times I would be getting ready to leave my 'ole room 237 and saw him walk by on the sidewalk from the window.
Call me obsessed, call me sentimental, call me whatever, just thinking about him makes me feel warm inside for some reason, despite only talking to him a total of probably two times. I don't know what else to say about this feeling. It's just really great. However, I feel like if I get in any closer I might just incinerate from the heat.
I don't know, but somehow I will find a way between August 16th, 2008 and May 20th, 2009 to express my feelings to him. I love being sentimental, but I don't ever like holding it in completely. I think this calls for a revision to my own self: I need to start going for stuff I want/love. It's getting pretty crazy being the indirect person in every group.
I've got to do it. I've got to go for it.

Chapel Thrill Night + Glancing
Well, I had a great night with Frankie tonight. We went to go see Don't Mess With The Zohan, which was pretty funny. I'm gonna be laughing dementedly at work tomorrow. Haha.
Also, I got a tour of Chapel Hill via Frankie. She showed me countless things, we had many conversations over our Chinese food, and then saw a very homo-erotic painting in McDonald's. Haha. The night was overall great, especially with the pictures we took at McDonald's making my day and topping my list.
I really need a day off because I'm losing my voice. Calling orders does that to you.
Also, while I was waiting to make a turn off of Franklin St. I thought I saw someone I know that I have a really big crush/interest in. I was like: "IS THAT WHO I THOUGHT IT WAS?! IS HE BACK ALREADY?" and then I added "If it is, he has a pretty nice car." Haha. Frankie was blindsided for that 40 seconds and kept asking where he was when all he did was turn and go right past us. I must say.... I was piqued for a second that it might actually be him back early...... I don't know....
Anyways, I need sleep, but I'll leave you with this: The homo-erotic picture of two football players in McDonald's.

Epiphanies and Aspirations.
Well, I have stumbled back onto my blogspot, after a really long absence. Nothing much to report, but I do have astounding news and astounding things to say.
After working at Waffle House after only 1 week, I have learned the value of how precious it is to get to know new people, while also having close-knit friends too. I get to go visit Frankie in Chapel Thrill tomorrow, and it's gonna be great. (I'll go more in-depth on this later in my facebook.)
But, also, making money in Waffle House is great, since I'm saving up for Spain next summer. I'm going to need a lot of money.... I'm going to need a lot of money regardless since I'm going to be in school more than 4 years, probably about 6 or 7, since I'm going for my PhD in Spanish, which would also require lots of studying abroad... HOORAY!
The thing is, I also found out recently that I have a teensy bit of Spanish blood in me too. That's nice to know, even though it's only a very fraction of my heritage.
It doesn't explain the fact why I'm such a quick study with languages, roots, and all that jazz. I would have been an English major, but English is a fucked up language to begin with. No, I'm not knocking English majors, it's just that the language itself (including MLA formatting) changes quickly and quietly. It's really bad, especially about thaw and unthaw... hehe.
So, anyways, I'll possibly have more pretty soon on here. Being this is the first entry and all, I just want to let everyone know that I'm going to have loads of posts on here (you should see the post count on my facebook: 263) and that I'll have something to say each time, hopefully.
Hooray! Also, I was reading my friend Sachi's blog, and she's literally going to America this summer (check her blog: sachiandpatrick.blogspot.com) to keep track of them--and I was inspired by an idea they grabbed from someone else: trading up items. It's simple and a guy that started with a red paperclip, after a whole year of trading, ended up with a house! I kinda want to do something, but on a pretty small scale... I mean, what would I do with a house? (I'd probably live in it, but still.....) So, I'd probably end up with something kinda medium, hopefully it won't be in the form of property, but let's not rule that out. Hopefully, I can make sure that everyone is happy with the trades and contribute good karma to everyone. I'm not really worried about what I'll end up with, just as long as I make everyone happy, including myself.
Also, more to come! That's kinda all I have to say right now! :-D
See ya all!
